Imagine surfing on one of those ginormous waves; the feeling must be exhilarating. It must feel satisfying as well, knowing that you're not against the forces of nature but one with it. With the right posture and positioning; a surfer could possibly take on any wave.
It's all a matter of physics combined with strong intuition.
Doesn't life compromise of the same (if not similar) components? Don't events in your life take place due to timing, circumstances shaped by your environment plus the choices you've made due to your intuition?
I was just pondering on life the other day — something that I rarely do these days because I don't even have time to BREATHE — and I thought, perhaps life gets frustrating sometimes because we try so hard to control its course.
We always try so hard to make things go OUR way — may it be in the workplace, school or our social circle. I think as humans, it's only natural to want to be in control because we're the most comfortable when we're in total power of our circumstances.
Uncertainty is just too scary. It makes us restless. How? When? What? Where??? But I think the key to life isn't to always be in control but to let everything unfold before us. Some things are beyond our control so might as well just ride the waves. ;)
