It's been so nice being back in Ipoh. While I'm bummed that my little sister is away in boarding school, it does mean I get to catch up with my little bro and see what he's up to from the moment he wakes up in the morning till the minute he falls asleep. Because my mum travels quite a lot for work, I (voluntarily) take up her mummy duties while she's away.
I sleep next to my little bro every night; I've my own room but I hate sleeping alone. If it's not my sister sleeping next to me, it'd be my mum. But either way, sleeping alone isn't cosy and it's so boring! I never want to have a room to myself... ever.
But here's the thing... little brother snores. He's been a snorer since he was tiny, it's quite funny. Naturally, if the person who sleeps next to you snores it can get quite annoying. It sounds weird but I find comfort in his snoring. Haha.
Once I switch off the lights and we're both under the covers, I patiently wait until I hear him snore and only then I'm like 'Ah, he's asleep. So now it's my turn to sleep.' That kid likes to sleep LATE and he has to wake up early everyday so I get worried he's not getting enough sleep.
That's why my mind is at ease when I hear him snoring. Hey, we all find comfort in random things. Sometimes it's a lucky horseshoe, a teddy bear or a pillow... I guess for me, one of them is my little bro's snoring!
Happy Sunday, peeps. :)
