When I arrived home in Ipoh 2 nights ago, I was beyond excited to see an Amazon.com parcel in the living room. They said it was going to arrive on Friday but it was a day early. Ahhh, Amazon never disappoints. So anyway, I've a new pair of Teva hiking shoes!!
I'm always trying to find new ways to exercise because as much as I like my treadmill and yoga sessions, a change in my exercise routine really keeps me motivated. Jungle trekking beats the treadmill any day plus I love how well I sleep after trekking. When I climbed Kledang Hill the other day, I slept for 5 hours in the afternoon; my body was THAT exhausted. Best feeling ever. The thing with hiking somewhere tropical like Malaysia, without the right shoes your feet can get pretty sore because they're trying hard to get a grip of the uneven grounds. Plus most regular trainers aren't waterproof and Malaysian jungles can get pretty soggy especially during rainy seasons. I love how Teva makes hiking shoes for women that don't make you look like a lumberjack. So to those who hike through tropical forests like I do, I seriously recommend good shoes for it.
