Hi. apa khabar?

Welcome to my blog. I'm Malaysian; born and raised. One fine day, I decided to upload my thoughts onto the world wide web. Who knows, there could be other souls out there who think a little too much and feel a little too deeply, just like me.

YOU need work.

Think of 1 thing in your life that's going well for you. It can be anything: your marriage, your fit body, your good grades or successful career. It may be good now but before this, didn't it take you a lot of time and effort? Did it not require you to put in the hours? It's common sense—you need to start somewhere to reach somewhere. The greater the destination; the tougher the journey.

Point is, great things take a lot of time and hard work. Little improvements, let alone success, doesn't happen overnight. There'll never be anything in your life that is entirely perfect, at least not forever. If something about you isn't great, it's not because you're not good enough; it just means you need to work on that bit.

Sometimes when I compare where I am to where others are, I start to worry. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Am I not clever enough? Am I not talented enough? Am I just meant to be this way forever? After much contemplation, I feel like hitting myself. These people I compare myself to are either older than me or have been working on what they're doing for a looong time.

I've such high expectations of myself that sometimes I forget that everyone's journey has different starting points and as long as I remember to put in the time, work and effort, I should be heading on the right track, insyaAllah.
